Hello!  I'm Sara...

I'm the creator and baker behind The Bake Lab. Baking has always been a passion, every since I got my first baking book for my 7th birthday.  In 2012 I decided to pursue the art of baking more seriously with a full time artisan baking course at The School of Artisan Food.

In my 10 months at the school, I went on placements to lots of amazing bakeries and learnt the value of top quality ingredients, skill and time.

After my course, I went to work at Forge Bakehouse and honed my skills by working with breads, pastries and sweet treats - after 3 years I felt it was time to branch out on my own.

I created The Bake Lab in 2016 to quench my creative thirst for fun and outlandish cakes that taste amazing.  As time goes on, I am loving creating new cakes and flavours every day to satisfy my loyal customers, whether they are buying a small cake at a market or a whole wedding cake.
